Brigit Rising GPO 2024

Brigit Rising is a vertical dance performance on Dublin’s GPO, the symbol of Ireland’s fight for independence. Rooted in the legend of Brigit, goddess of fire, renewal, and protection, the work transforms this landmark into a stage for resilience and uprising.

Through daring aerial choreography, the piece honours the women who hold communities together and the people everywhere who continue to rise against oppression. At its heart, Brigit Rising is a call to freedom, creativity, and solidarity, a vision of a world where no one is bound, silenced, or occupied, and where the act of rising belongs to us all.
